Meet the Notorious Women:

- Lizzie Borden (1860-1927): The most famous of the group, she was charged with the August 1892 axe murders of her father and stepmother in Fall River, Massachusetts.

- Laura Fair: She killed her married lover in San Francisco in 1870, leading to her arrest and a shocking incident at the police station.

- Margaret Hossack: In 1900, she took matters into her own hands, killing her abusive husband in Warren County, Iowa.

- Belle Gunness: A Norwegian by birth, Gunness committed a series of murders, burying her victims at her family farmhouse in La Porte, Indiana, including a headless adult female.
